Job Summary

Content writer needed in a Software Company. Please make sure you have a good knowledge of writing in every topic for any organization. You have to fill content in a variety of different platforms including web pages, articles, product reviews, conversations, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties

Research

  • Conduct research ideas and facts pertinent online to find relevant information about content/topic assigned
  • Sort out workable ideas by a process of elimination and keep eliminated ideas stored for future reference
  • Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies)
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics

Write

  • Write fresh content based on research and brainstorming by following instructions provided for each type of document
  • Develop ideas derived from online/offline research and organize the same on paper or computer applications
  • Develop engaging content in any field for any type of writing areas like articles, blogs, stories, product reviews and social media to entice and engage the audience
  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
  • Writing clear marketing copy to promotion, communication, etc
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
  • Promoting new posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
  • Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.
  • Develop original content and revise previously published business materials, including product and service guides, direct mail campaign materials and business-to-business presentation materials
  • Prepare written works and format them according to company guidelines
  • Proofread, revise or update other people’s materials to ensure they meet company guidelines
  • Think up titles for each piece of content keeping appropriateness in check
  • Write content for newspapers and magazines keeping in mind the general structure and sentiment of the readers
  • Develop prototypes and storyboards using a multitude of media creation and graphics editing tools
  • Rewrite, paraphrase or write content from scratch depending on specific instructions provided in the work order*Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals

Manage

  • Collaborate with other departments like marketing and design teams to determine how to make certain works better
  • Advocating and educating others about interests, products, or services.
  • Ensure that web page or any type of content is edited properly to increase on-screen readability and make it easy to read as much as possible
  • Ensure that content contains sufficient keywords to avoid stuffing
  • Manage user-generated content and communicate with the audience in company’s social profiles, listings, and posts

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others
  • Writing experience or familiarity with certain interests or a specific field.
  • Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office*Strong attention to detail
  • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences*Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Thorough understanding of the English language
  • Willingness to adapt and change writing style
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to sit and type for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

  • Any Course or degree in English, Journalism, creative writing or a related field
  • Proven experience working as a technical writer, Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
  • Portfolio of published articles
  • Experience doing research using multiple sources
  • Familiarity with web publications
  • Creativity and adaptability.
